Are Bartholin Gland Cyst And Nasal Discharge Related To Each Other?
I am 63 yrs of age. 37 yrs ago had a bartholin gland cyst. It has now come back. Filled with a thick substance. Very sore. Two days later developed nasal discharge and cough producing discolored gunk from head and cough. Can the two be related as in bacterial infection? Have been on bactrim 800/160 for 5 days, no improvement yet. Suggestions. Have only talked with my internist on phone.
There is no relation of each other but once again you may check that your not suffering from drug (bactrium) allergy. Possibility that it may be a common cold due to viral infection.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet lecope-AD twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
