Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic,
Acne or pimples is a disorder of sebaceous gland and hormones have a role to play. So the problem may persist till the hormonal influence is over. Therefore treatment has to be maintained till then. The present treatment you are on is effective and kindly follow up with your doctor as advised so that he can adjust treatment according to results. There are different treatments for acne and in some certain medications work well and certain don't. Mark of acne usually disappears in 1 and a half to two months. But if you develop a new pimple it will again take that much time to go. Therefore the best treatment of marks will be to treat pimples so that you don't develop any new pimples.
Kindly decrease milk products, cheese, chocolates, ice cream etc. Do not apply any other creams on the face. Wash face frequently.
Hope this helped,
Take care.
