Are Anxiety And Panic Attacks Related To Pregnancy And Delivery?
Hello, I have a ten month old baby girl. I've been suffering from anxiety and panic attacks every since I had her. Is this related to giving birth? Especially that I've had a first child three years ago, and also expeirienced this. Expect it got worse after my second kid.
I went through your details. Anxiety and panic attacks are usually associated with trauma and stress. Early life style stress and trauma can also cause anxiety and panic attacks. As delivery is a traumatic event for many, it is possible to have this anxiety and panic attacks after delivery period. You should also be aware that the hormonal imbalance during and after delivery could cause depression and then cause anxiety disorder and panic attacks.
Anxiety and panic attacks are usually treated with a combination of psychiatric medicines, psychotherapy, life style changes, meditation and exercise. Please consult a psychologist for further advise.
