Are Anxiety And Panic Attack Post An MRI A Cause For Concern?
My husband is 57 yo, smokes, copd, and back problems. He had an MRI at 8am this morning. He came home describing an anxiety or panic attack type symptoms during the test. He said he felt like the machine was pushing on his chest. He says he hasn t felt right since. I am a lpn and an MLT. I know there are no side effects for this test. What may he be experiencing and when should I seek further medical attention?

Hello. In my opinion since he has the risk factors of both a cardiac problem and also a pulmonary problem the best time to check if all is well is NOW. Pleas rule out other causes before considering anxiety/panic attack as a diagnosis. Regards
