Are Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea Side Effects Of Moxikind?

Hi doc i was suffering from cough n cold for 7days so visited doc yesterday... She gav me moxikind antibiotic... I took it and at night i experienced stomach pain and loose motion... Moring i called in the clinic... They told me to get admitted.....wht shud i do... Shud i wait for 2more days n c if the problm is cured?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain stomach ache and loose motions seems to be the side effects of antibiotic amoxicillin as antibiotics damage the good bacteria of intestine along with harmful bacteria leading to disturbance of complex functioning of intestine leading to loose motions and stomach ace along with gastritis.
I would suggest you to take proton pump inhibitors like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole empty stomach till you are taking antibiotics..
Take loperamide to control loose motions..
Fluid replacement therapy that is drinking oral rehydration solution can help in replenishing water and electrolyte loss..
Take a soft and semisolid diet with more f yoghurt,bananas, cereal etc..
In case if still condition worsen consult your physician and get evaluated..
