Are Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea Related To Gastritis?

I have been having sharp pain in my right rib cage just below my breast. I was thinking this could be pleurisy or inflammation, but now I am having diarrhea, nausea, and pain in my shoulder, back, and have stomach pain. Could this be just gas or possibly a gall bladder attack and when do I need to go to the doctor?

Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. As per your complaints [symptoms + radiation of pain] and sex [female], it probably looks to be a pain of cholecystitis so in best interest kindly consult a general surgeon for ultrasonography [whole abdomen] to exclude gas from gallbladder stone.

2. Gastritis itself is associated with various medical/surgical conditions i.e. it can be a sign or a symptom of a disease so if the symptoms are increasing despite self-care talk with your doctor.
