Are Epidural Injections Safe For Treatment Of Back Pain?

Hi I have revived 2 steriod shot for back pain 2 weeks apart from each other. The second shot made me have menstural cycle 2days later and I m still going (3weeks). What should I do is this normal? And I m scheduled for a 3 epidural next week. IS this treatment dangerous to damage my ferterile state since I just turned 40? So far 40 has not been the new 20!

well epidural injections will only give u TEMPORARY RELIEF and once the effect of injections is over the pain will come again...for a long term relief you should visit a physiotherapist n ask him to teach you SPINAL EXERCISES FOR STRENGHTHENING OF YOUR BACK MUSCLES n then perform those exercises on a regular basis at home...strong back muscles will prevent back spasms ( cause of back pain ) n that way you can make yourself free from back pain for long periods,also along with that start wearing LUMBAR BELT specially during driving/doing physical work/standing for long hours and this will help you indeed
regarding your other query,yes epidural injections can indeed damage the critical nerves n affect your fertility in a negative manner
