Are Doxyl And Doxolin The Same Medicine?

I am a diabetic patient with hypertension problem also have blood pressure. Recently I had breathing problem specially at night. My doctor prescribed me doxryl 400. However the chemist shop owner given Doxolin tab 400. Kindly let me know both tablets are same. After taking Doxolin for two days developed gastric problem. Kindly let me know whether this tablet is suitable. Thanks. Rajaram

Hi,

Doxolin (Doxofylline) tablet is a bronchodilator drug. Doxoril 400 mg tablet has the same ingredient Doxofylline. Doxofylline can cause GI upset like abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. If GI irritation occurs, it is to be taken with food or a full glass of water.
