Are Detox Supplements The Cause For Heart Palpitations?

I am on this site because I have been having increasing palpitations over the past week or so. I have started on some detox supplements with kelp in. I am thinking that may be the problem. I was close to going to an ER tonight but figure I will just stop the supplements tomorrow and see how things go.

Hi! When we talk of detox supplements, they contain a number of chemicals that are actually potent drugs. There is no real FDA control over these products. The variety of chemicals found in them, such as ephedrine in some brands of supplements can trigger off palpitations. This is true. I woulfd advise you to analyze what you are taking and find a different brand. This is the right and best solution. I doubt whether you have any heart problems given the descriptions of your problem.
