Hi & Welcome.
Incomplete data like age, gender, purpose of taking these medications, any associated symptoms, lab tests, etc??

Methimazole is an anti-thyroid medication used in the treatment of hyperthyroidism (excess production of thyroid hormones or "hyperactive thyroid gland").

Atenolol is a selective beta1 blocker that may be used to treat the tachycardia, palpitation and high BP associated with hyperthyroidism.

None of these medications are used for "Inactive thyroid".

Hope these answer your queries.
