Any Suggestions For Phlegmy Throaty Cough Since A Year And Recurring Runny Nose In A 2 Yr Old Child?

My son has had a phlegmy throaty cough now for nearly a year and a runny nose on and off, he has had a couple of middle ear infections. He has no allergies. The ENT said he will grow out of his nasal drip down the back of the throat, surely theres more we can do, he is 2 years old.

Sure , we can do more, please ask him to meet an allergy specialist as he may be having allergy, he will need some tests and once the allergy is controlled, he will be fine!
