Any Ideas About Low Grade Fever And Joint Pain After Pneumonia And Pleurisy?
I have a low grade fever with significant joint pain. It began with dx of pneumonia and pleurisy. After tx of Abx joint pain primarily shoulders persisted. Tests for Ra and lupus neg. Wbc within normal limits. Doubtful lhymes. Urban dweller, no trips to woods. The pain is disabling interfering with ADL's and sleep. 53 year old woman with no significant health history. Any ideas?
HI Thank for asking to HCM You have to keep the actual record of your body temperature and that should be taken every after two hours, if it is really low grade fever with some pathological changes in lungs then this need to be treated with antibiotic on conservative basis, and if this treatment fails to respond then some other test would be needed to rule out the deferential diagnosis, if I would be your doctor then I would treat you with following medicine 1) Tab Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice a day for 7 days I hope you would get the good result from this, take care and have nice day.
