Any Food Or Drink To Be Avoided When On Doxycycline?

what food or drinks should i avoid wail on doxycycline and my doctor has me takeing one pill twice a day , but when i move down to one a day my acne take turn for the worse , he want me slowly lower my dose but why is it for now i have to have the two pills a day , why can't i manage to get it down to one?

While on doxycycline, it would be advisable to avoid consuming calcium containing foods at the same that you take this drug. Doxycycline increases susceptibility to sunburn. Stay away fro sun and drink much water to minimize the possibility of facing this. I believe you still need higher doses to get the acne controlled before it can be tapered down. It indicates that the level of activity is still high and requires higher dosages for control at this time. Please, be patient and your doctor would again attempt this in future.
