Ankle Is Hurt. Sharp Pain On Top Of Foot. Swollen Ankle. Xray Done, No Fracture. Recommendations

I hurt my ankle on the tennis court. i felt a sharp pain where the top of foot meets bottom of shin...went home to see a swollen ankle primarily on outside of ankle..with some tightness in tendons in back of ankle ...ten days later still pain and swollen...ice and compression...and xray showed no fracture just swelling...

Hi!. Thanks for the query. You may be suffering from severe sprain leading to Tendon injury and treatment is simply complete rest. You may try anklet for that ankle and use some mild analgesics. As much as possible while sleeping keep the leg raised on a pillow and also while sitting rest your leg on a stool.
