My son presented with lethergy last may and was found to be anemic. We treated with oral iron supplement and levels returned to normal by October. In may of this year he again had bouts of lethergy lasting a week with two days of seemingly better health within that week. After a week, we went to the ER where he seized for the first time in the front door. He then went into status epilepticus for two weeks. Anticonvulsants did not help, ivig was started along with pulse steroids which stopped the seizing. It has been eight weeks since disgorge with one small seizure noted. His blood levels to date show slightly elevated neutrophils, momocytes, rdw and mcv. Any ideas?
