Amoxicilin Not Helping For Infection Caused By Needle Used For Taking Insulin. How To Cure?
I am a diabetic and I have been infected by a needle i was using giving my self insulin in my stomach It has raised and is very sore. I have been taking amoxici lin that the doctor gave my husband aweek ago.it seems to not be helping. I know I probably need to go the hospital, but I dont have insurance, what will they do and and what do I need to do.
Hello, The best for you would be to go to the hospital and consult a surgeon for the lancing,if there is a pus pocket. A proper broad spectrum antibiotic can then be given according to the culture of the pus obtained. Make sure that you are very careful taking insulin shots or any other injectables so as to avoid contamination and infection.Observe all types of precautions while taking injections. Thanks
