Alcoholic, Have Black Stools, Angina. Cause And Remedy?

Hi, I am a 49 year old professional. My husband left me about 4 years ago. We would drink in the evening maybe 2 or 3 drinks a night. since he has been gone I have begon to drink mor. Even so lately the past year with alot of stress from my work, I have always had a nervous stomach , excess gas . I use to roll over on the floor with gas pain so intense. and any extra stress would only intensify the pain. Lately for a while now, I khave been wanting to quit, This makes two night so far with out anything. Over the past few day I have develoed what I believe gas in my stomach. I am a nurse and have had my liciense susupensed due to some educational requirements requesting from my association, I have appleid for disability as suggested from my employer and have been refused twice. The attendance lady at work has recenlty spoken to them and we are reappealling with a new adjudicator for the situation. Meanwhile I had applied for E.I. I finially call a call the other day and they were asking questions regarding my situation. I suggested he contact my union and the attendance lady to sort out this matter . If my association feels the incidents are minor, why wouldn t they. He was asking alot of questions. So she hAS CONTACTED THE LAWYER FOR THE REGION FOR SOME ADVICE. Along with the fact they want to start a full position as a aid ot obtain some money until I get all of my requirements done. I am aslo suppose to have a deadline. I have been a nurse for 26 years now and there is quite abit to review. YesterdaY i HAD SOME BACK STOOLS , AND AGINA TODAY WITH NO OTHER SYMPTOMS i AM HOPING IT IS ONLY MY NERSVE, i AM SCARED AND NEED HELP PLEASE

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Black stools happening suddenly may be a sign of little altered blood. This blood can come from the stomach or duodenum and needs to be confirmed.

Since you havr been taking alcohol regularly, ulcers could have developed in your stomach or duodenum. An oral gi endoscopy will confirm.

Please take professional counseling to control your drinking habits.
