After Many Months Of Digestive Issues (chronic Watery Diarrhea, Etc.),

After many months of digestive issues (chronic watery diarrhea, etc.), blood tests, and a colonoscopy, I was recently diagnosed with Lymphocytic Colitis. I was put on a steroid treatment (budesonide - 9mg for one month, 6mg for one month, then 3mg for one month) and I am wondering if there is anything more that I should/could be doing? My doctor did not offer much information, other than what the specialist found and that I will be taking this medication. Is there any other information/support available to individuals dealing with this in Canada?

In the last few months I noticed that lactose was also causing me issues, and the diarrhea seemed to be a bit better when that was taken out of my diet. My question with this is, will I be able to eat lactose again once this treatment is completed? Or will this be something that is ongoing and with me forever?

Thank you!
