Hi,

There are several possible causes for sudden death after 2 weeks of angioplasty (stent placement). Most likely he had the stent thrombosis.

It is an acute condition that blocks stent lumen causing myocardial infarction. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to identify the definitive cause without an autopsy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
