Achy Joints, Stiff Calf Muscle, Fatigue, Headache. History Of Taking HRT After Menopause, Laberinthitis. Healthy Lifestyle. Advice

Hi I am 53 years old and 2 years ago was very ill with Laberinthitis I also suffer with headaches most days and have done for most of my life, but since I had the illness I have not been right I have very achey joints particulally my calfs which are very tight and I wake every morning feeling very tired and generally not very well. I have had many blood tests and they all come back okay. I started the menopause when I was 43 and take HRT. And my own doctor is cluless as to what it is. I am happily married to a man who takes very good care of me we have a good diet and have recently taken up walking so get plenty of exercise. I am at a loss as to what is happening to my body and it is becoming very debilitating. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what could be wrong with me.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
If , pain an joints started after walking ( also in calf muscles) than cause is another.
This type of pain may be due to exertion and we call it exertion related pain and cause is secretion of lactic acid in calf muscles due to active movement of legs due to walk.
If you take rest intermittently ( from walking) ,you will get relief , no medication requirement.
If pain is , even at rest than cause (s) may be others.
So for this you have to consult a physician and get in blood examination for C B C , calcium level , lipid profile ( age factor).
This pain may be due to diabetes, hypertension, stress related, menopause related.
Hope I have answered your query.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
