Abdominal Discomfort After Meals. Have Hiatal Hernia, Appetite Loss. Acid Reflux?

I have a rubbery-feeling ridge running down the center of my abdomen just below my rib cage and stopping just above my belly button. I first noticed it this past past weekend after some large meals. It causes me a little discomfort. I have had problems with a sliding hiatal hernia in the past few years but have never felt any kind of physical lump or mass associated with it. I have also noticed a loss of appitite. Could this simply be a symptom of the acid reflux or hiatal hernia or should I be concerned that it is something more serious?

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

You need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Acid reflux may be the cause. You need upper GI endoscopy and manometric evaluation .Chest X-ray (PA) can also be taken.USG can also be done.
You shouldn't lie down immediately after meals and your head end should be slightly elevated during sleep.
You can also take pantoprazole 40 mg tablets once daily for reducing the amount of acid secretion.

Take Care
