8 Year Old Is Weak, Can't Run, Gets Tired, Sweats A Lot At Night. Low Vitamin D, TSH 5.6. Suggestions ?
Hi doc, my 8 year old is weak, can't run much, gets tired, mostly likes to rest, and sweats a lot at night in the nape and all over head. Blood test report came along today. His TSH is 5.6 and T4 is 1.3, they didn't give T3. Also low vitamin D, and Ketone traces as well as leuk EST trace. ANy comments on the situation? Just did the blood sugar test, it's 93. Thanks.

Hi, first of all get him checked for worms, and anemia, and appetite. Irrespective of the tests get him treated for these things.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe albendazole. hematinic syrup. and proteine suppliment. If no response i will go for other investigations. Thank you.
