WHAT YOU ARE DESCRIBING IS POSSIBLY FEATURES OF ADVANCED STOMACH CANCER- SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT LOSS WITH HARD LUMP IN UPPER ABDOMEN AND DECREASED APPETITE. YOUR MOTHER NEEDS URGENT EVALUATION INCLUDING UPPER GI ENDOSCOPY, FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY TEST FOR TISSUE DIAGNOSIS AND ULTRASOUND/ CT SCAN OF ABDOMEN TO ASSESS EXTENT OF GROWTH. HOWEVER MINIMUM SHE WILL NEED CHEMOTHERAPY AND POSSIBLE GASTRIC BY PASS/ ALTERNATE FOOD INTAKE ROUTE AS PART OF PALLIATIVE THERAPY TO MAKE HER COMFORTABLE. PL VISIT YOUR DOCTOR PREFERABLY CANCER SURGEON.
