74 Years. Diagnosed A-fib And High BP. Suggested Not To Take Apirin Products. Prescribed Pravastatin Sodium. Right Medication?

I am a 74 year old male, that has been diagnosed with a-fib and high BP. My Doctor has stated that I should never take any aspirin product because of a bleeding ulcer caused by the same. My BP over the last 6 months has averaged 120/65 using 25 MG Losartan -HCTZ, and the Lipid panels results are as follows:
Triglycerides -156
Total Cholesterol -217
HDL-57
LDL-129
I also have bee prescribed 40MG Pravastatin Sodium.
I would like to discontinue this as I do not feel I am that much of a high risk and have only taken this for 4 days.
If I already have an a-fib condition, will the Pravastatin possibly make this worse?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you are so intelligent patient so need not to say any thing, but I want to explain in brief about atrial fibrillation so that you will get the answer your question.
As your question is whether Atrial fibrillation will worsen if you took pravastatin already?
An arrhythmia defined by the absence of coordinated atrial systole, which results from multiple reentrant electrical wavelengths that moves randomly around the atria.
The definition is somewhat difficult but you understand that already used parvastatin will not worsen the A fibrillation at all.
Prohibited aspirin so that risk of bleeding minimums & for ulcer.
As your cholesterol level is normal so no need of any lipid lowering agents.
Hope I have answered your question .
Good for health.
