65 yr old female with liver cirrhosis secondary to Hepatitis C infection in late 1970's. Had episode of esophageal varices within last 1 1/2 yrs with banding and portal hypertension treated with Propanolol. Has lower extremity swelling regularly, does not have ascites and has had hepatic encephalopathy being treated with Rifaxim(?) What kind of prognosis would this woman have--last MELD score was 17 and she is on liver transplant list in Colorado.
