4 Year Old, Pain In Legs, Occasional Vomiting In Mornings. Are These Related? Anything To Worry?

My son just turned 4 years old. He often complains of pains in his legs and wants to be carried. It hurts most when he gets out of bed in the morning. It doesn't wake him at night though. Most of the time he is ok and he can run/jump etc. Its not attention seeking when it happens, I can see he's in genuine pain.
Also he vomits some mornings. Roughly once a week and 2/3 times on the day he does vomit. He might feel unwell for a few hours after but then he is fine. He will eat afterwards and play as usual.
Could these be connected, or a cause for worry?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

I feel that your child should undergo physical examination by paediatrician once. A complete neurological examination is required to answer your query.
Pain towards evening can occur in children and referred as growth pains. Pain in the early morning with vomiting is not normal and you also mentioned that the child needs to be carried. So please consult your paediatrician.
\Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
