Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

It seems your child has developed secondary lactose intolerance due to previous diarrhea.

I advise you to withhold milk and milk products temporarily for approximately 8 weeks.

Instead you can give butter milk and curd.

Probiotic like saccharomyces or lactobacillus sachet can be given orally for 3 to 5 days.

Continue zinconia as advised for a duration of total 2 weeks.

Give sips of ORS like Pedialyte to maintain hydration of the child.

Monitor his hydration status.

If the loose stools are still continuing you can give stool for routine, microscopic examination, culture, and for reducing substances after consulting pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
