30 Year Old Female. Diarrhea, Nausea, Back Pain, Upper Right

30 year old female. Diarrhea, nausea, back pain, upper right side pain that sometimes shifts lower and spreads to the middle of stomach. Ct scan said:

IMPRESSION:

1. Dilated right renal pelvis without hydroureter of unknown etiology.
Recommend follow-up CT urogram to further characterize and assess for far
proximal occult partial obstruction or adjacent peripelvic cyst.
2. Cholelithiasis.

However, ultrasound showed no gallstones and the doctor said ultrasounds show gallstones better than ct scan. I'm confused. How can it show up on ct scan but not ultrasound? How can I find out if I do have gallstones?
