Hi, Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum.
You should better be avoiding it if you want your Blood Sugars to be under control because all alcoholic beverages contain calories and they are not Advised in Diabetic and Hypertensive Patients. I know its hard to quit old habit, but you can try controlling by Practicing Yoga and Meditation. Avoid other high calorie foods, exercise regularly and take your Mediations on time. Go for regular follow up.

Good Luck.

Forget Whisky Rum Soda Coke Pepsi and all that is bottled /packages and sold. Water is best beverage in world and if alkaline then it's a big bonus. Sorry no mineral water even that's acidic by and large. Go alkaline, detox your body and body will heal itself.

Nothing is hard to quit and there's no such thing as "small quantity" when it comes to feeding body with poison. Poison is poison small or large quantity is irrelevant. I left a 27 year old habbit of smoking .... no planning no preparation, no nicotine gums/patch/pad etc just Cold Turkey .... and now 6 months not even a single puff. I used to smoke 2 packs a day.

I am fighting recently detected elevated blood glucose (border line case) levels and happy that i have the beas under control :-)

Hello;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Since you were early diagnosed with diabetes it is better and you are taking proper treatment so it is nice and you should be fine.About the drink part it is better that you do not drink any thing out of whiskey;rum;wine .The reason is it will complicate things and every person can definitely live without it.As far as medically concerned alcohol in all forms can cause loss of sexual power and even diabetes causes nerve damage so there is decreased sensation in all parts of body and so it affects sexual life later in life and drinking may bring it on soon. So I guess this is enough reason to keep away from drinks.Stay healthy and you should be fine even with diabetes
Thanks
