Something very important to know is your son history. did he spent time in the newborn intensive care unit when he was born? for how long? when he was discharged? did he has any eye problem when he was born? Any respiratory problem? Why he was preterm? etc. Usually for preterm babies evaluation and follow up of eyes and lungs are very important during the first 2 years of life. If your son is older than 2 years and is doing fine, I think there is nothing else to worry about. He just need his regular follow ups.
