15 Month Child, Watery Stool, Normal Health. Is Giving Medicine Necessary? Which Medicine?

My child is 15 months old and weighs 13 kgs. Today morning he passed stool as normal but after that he had somewhat watery stool. Now after gap of 3 hrs from 1st stool he again had a watery stool. I have not given him any medicine. I is playing and normal. Shall i wait for some more time to give medicine or shall i give him medicine right now. If yes, which medicine ? I am having rinifol syrup and penclav at home. Please advise

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for placing your query here.
It seems he has developed watery stools caused by viral infection of the gut.
This is very common & self limiting condition in young children.
Just make sure he is drinking plenty of fluids & start ORS (oral rehydration solution ) id watery stools continue.
Adding probiotics & zinc helps shorten the duration as well as severity of diarrhea.
Can discuss with your doctor about same.
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
