Hello
Diarrhea is the sudden increase in the frequency and looseness of stools. Mild diarrhea is the passage of a few loose or mushy stools. Severe diarrhea is the passage of many watery stools. Watery stools that occur every hour is definitely severe diarrhea. The best indicator of the severity of the diarrhea is its frequency or blood in the stools. ( As you have not mentioned any history of Fever or blood or fats )
Dear friend infants ( babies ) often get through loose motion , you don't need any Medicine if he is on mother feed , after every frequent episode of loose motion breast feed him. WATCH OUT FOR DEHYDRATION because its a danger sign in infants if he gets dehydrated
ost common cause of loose motions is a virus called rotavirus. Rotavirus infects the gut causing gastroenteritis.Children aged between 6 and 24 months are more likely to catch this virus as it gets tougher to maintain hygiene once they begin crawling.
About feeding The best home remedy is you can give him water of boiled rice. Mashed banana can be beneficial, you can give only one eight part of banana at one time.
Kindly Next time please do let us know that is he on breast feeding and what kind of diet he is on so will love to help you with details. thanks
Have a great day.

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your baby is having gastroenteritis which is mostly viral in nature and settles in few days.
Most important is to maintain and monitor hydration.
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool, give coconut water, lemonade, buttermilk, boiled potato, mashed banana, curd, rice porridge.
Give lactobaccilus for 2 to 3 days and zinc for 14 days.
Monitor for signs of dehydration like lethargy/decreased urine output/increased thirst and in case symptoms persist get him evaluated by pediatrician.

Wishing your baby good health.
God bless..
