Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
1 year ago almost to the day i was diagnosed with a 10cm mass of cancer on my left kidney, i told my doctor lets cut it out and so we did. after the surgery i had an mri with contrast to confirm everything went as planned, and was told that everything looked great.since then i have had 2 more mri's with contrast 1 being a follow up for the kidney and the latest for a 100% collapsed disk in my back that i just had surgery on it was an interior and an posterior fusion(i hope i have that right) but anyway i had to go to the R.R the other night because of severe nerve pain in my right leg. he sends me for a cat scan and when he is going over the results with me he starts asking me about a 4cm mass on my liver that they found in january they suggest i get another mri with contrast through my pcp so i do. as hes going over the results from the E.R its now 4.5cm so its grown an .5 cm in 5 months i have no clue what the size was last june when they first found it. but i must say im a nervous wreck. im only fiftyi would like to live longer then 55 if you know what i mean. thanks for any advice or question i should ask my doctors...
