Brief Answer:
Death of the ball of the hip joints

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

It appears that the ball of your hip joint is dying and changing shape from smooth spherical shape to irregular shape. This can affect the hip joint movements and cause arthritis and pain.

You would require hip replacement atleast for the left hip now and later for the right hip.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Brief Answer:
I need to see MRI and Xray films to comment on exact stage decide treatment

Detailed Answer:
HI..
Welcome back.

After having a look at the Xray and MRI Films I may be able to comment on the exact stage of the disease. Based on the exact stage I can recommend the treatment. Usually in Grade III AVN (avascular necrosis) there is no other choice other than hip replacement. But in Grade II we can think of hip resurfacing, core decompression or hip replacement.

This is not due to weight lifting but due to possible steroid intake, blood disorders like Sickle cell anaemia etc.

There is no medication which can reverse the changes.

Get back to me with films.

Regards.
