For dandruff you need to regularly use an anti dandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole or ciclopirox olamine twice weekly.
In severe cases of dandruff oral anti fungal medicine like tablet fluconazole 200 mg twice weekly can be taken for 6-8 weeks. It needs prescription as it can cause side effects.
