Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor' service!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that all these ECG findings are quite common in heart failure patients and they do not indicate any specific heart disorder.

You should know that in heart failure patients, it is rare to have a normal ECG.

These ECG changes are just part of the underlying pathology ( heart failure).

So, the key is to optimize the therapy of heart failure and thyroid dysfunction, in order to improve your situation.

Regarding the chest pain, I would recommend performing a cardiac MRI, in order to examine better the heart tissue and investigate for possible signs of fibrosis or cardiac ischemia.

I hope you will find this answer helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr.Ilir Sharka,

ok, I thought maybe the lbbb had possibly caused the heart failure, I had an angiogram performed in late December and there were no blockages or anything specific to point as to why heart failure was occurring.

thank you for your answer, I am feeling a bit stronger some days, can walk in a store now where as I couldn't a few months ago so I guess the meds are working :) thank you for your help

Detailed Answer:
Hello again, dear Nancy!

I am glad to hear you feel better now!

I would explain that LBBB is not the cause of heart failure, but just an expression of the underlying cardiomyopathy that is responsible for heart failure.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imagine would provide more precise conclusions on the underlying causes of heart failure, especially after excluding coronary artery disease (by angiography).

You should discuss with your attending cardiologist on the above mentioned issues.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Let me know in case of any further questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
