Brief Answer:
Ultrasound scan

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Weight gain, irregular cycles and cramps during periods all point at a hormonal imbalance. Such hormonal imbalances can occur due to many causes. Even mental stress can lead to such hormonal imabalnces and cycle disturbances.

I suggest you to get an Ultrasound scan to rule out any structural anomalies which can lead to such problems. One such possibility is a polycystic ovarian disease.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

regards,
