Brief Answer:
Management of Wolff Parkinson White (WPW) syndrome

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thank you for trusting us.

WPW syndrome is the presence of accessory conducting pathway in the heart. It can evolve and show up later even though a previous ECG is normal.
Electrophysiological testing is very important for individuals diagnosed with wpw syndrome for severity and risk stratification. Depending on the electrophysiological (EPS) testing results and the level of his physical exertion, the cardiologist will decide on whether medical management or radiofrequency ablation is needed.
So, please go ahead and get the EPS testing done.
Meanwhile, if he develops palpitations (rapid heart rate), do Valsalva maneuver or unilateral carotid massage to reduce the heart rate.
