Thanks for query,

Colestyramine or is a bile acid sequestrant, which binds bile in the gastrointestinal tract to prevent its reabsorption.So yes it is used to treat microscopic colitis.300 to 600 mg per day dose is used.
Secondly 2.4 gram/ day dose of mesalamine is also used in treatment of this condition.
There are a number of salts available to treat it.
Just taking pepto bismol won't help much.
