Brief Answer:
You can continue the pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. I pill is emergency contraceptive pill and contains levonorgestrel and is not known to have any teratogenic effect on the fetus, if taken in first trimester of pregnancy.
However, since you are also having diabetes mellitus risk of spontaneous abortion and congenital anomalies are increased. The risk is more if level of HbA1C is more than 7.
You can continue the pregnancy, but keep your blood sugar within normal range by proper insulin dosage.
Moreover, you should get a detailed anomaly ultrasound at 18-20 weeks to rule out any congenital anomalies.

Hi Doctor,
if i will terminate now will it be safe?
Will it affect my future pregnancy?
how it will affect my body?
As waiting 18-20 week means 5 months then it will be be stressful to terminate if any defects found.

Brief Answer:
Safe to terminate

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX thanks for responding. Yes, you can terminate the pregnancy either by medical or surgical method of abortion. It is safe to terminate the pregnancy. Medical method is effective in98% of cases of less than7 weeks and is preferred method. However, since you are diabetic, liver and kidney function test needs to be done to assess whether the drugs used for medical method can be given or not, otherwise surgical method will be resorted to.
There will be no effect on your body and future conception and pregnancy, if the abortion is without any complications.
