Hi is it safe to try to conceive while male has viral infection. The woman is fertile at this moment according to ovulation test. But for the last two days the male has been ill with some kind of viral infection. Symptoms include muscle weakness/numbness and muscle pain. So we were wondering if it safe to conceive at this moment. Would the embryo/fetus be at risk at developing any complications at this moment?

Thanks for posting your query.
The viral infection in the males does not affect the quality of sperms and does not have any effect on the fetus or baby. Please do not worry. If the ovulation test has come positive, you can safely try to conceive.
