Brief Answer:
Antibiotics would spare uterus from infection & help in implantation.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Embryo transfer is a complicated & delicate procedure... So the results are also dangling. UTI was possible obstacle which was taken care of by giving antibiotic in your case..
While doing ET, it is desirable to have a healthy endometrium for good implantation. In your case a course of antibiotic (that is not having adverse effect on embryo) is given to manage UTI. Here doctor weighs between two possibilities - NO antibiotics with continued infection & possibility of affecting inner uterine lining to result in failed implantation OR to provide safer antibiotic & try a healthy endometrium that helps implantation. Your doctor has adopted the safer option!

In this case I would advise for , believing your doctor, have a positive attitude, follow all the instructions given & wait patently for positive out come!So be cool, positive & patient . .. for a composed psychology is known to help the implantation.

I hope that helps you. Any follow up query is welcome.
Thanks.
