Why Is There A Lump Running Over My Collarbone On My Right Side?
Question: I’m a 28 year old male, I’ve noticed on two occasions (the first being approximately 3 months ago) a lump running over my collarbone on my right side. When I touch the lump it is soft and almost rubbery like a vein. On both ocassions the lump have seemed to disappear the same day. I have no other symptoms other than some injury related shoulder pain that has been ongoing for years.
Brief Answer:
Lipoma / lymph node / cyst
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The history that you provided indicates one of the reasons as mentioned bellow:
Lipoma that goes under the clavicle.
Lymph node or some cyst.
This can be small and actually under the clavicle hence you noticed twice only in three months.
I would suggest in such a situation to undergo a clinical examination by a General Surgeon and to undergo high resolution ultrasonography to see whether there is a lump actually present or not. In rare instance a confirmatory CT scan may be needed.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
