Brief Answer:
Usually viral. Give ORS and zinc

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Based on your history and description, it looks more like viral diarrhoea . Most of the loose stills at this age is usually because of viral infection. No antibiotics are needed if there is no blood in stools.
I usually prescribe ORS ie. oral rehydration salts solution. This is available in tetra packs. It can be given in few sips every 15 minutes to keep the baby hydrated.
I also prescribe Zinc drops at 0.5 ml per day for such babies in my clinic for atleast 10 days.
Dont worry. If your baby is active and passing urine atleast 6 to 8 times per day, talking feeds well , no need to worry.
Viral infection may take a few days to improve.
If not improving, consult your pediatrician to get the baby checked.
Avoid cows milk if you are giving now.
Wishing your baby speedy recovery
