Question: I've had vertigo for 4 months now with no relief but now I get a pulsating / throbbing feeling which gets intense when I sleep and wakes me up

You are having an inner ear problem and you should visit an ENT doctor about it soon. Meanwhile you can use antihistamines such benadryl to help your dizziness. Meclizine works great on vertigo but is taken with prescription.

If it is caused by an infection you can use antibiotics and corticosteroids with success.
