Brief Answer:
Swelling in vocal cord is called teacher's nodes

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Swelling on vocal cords is called as teacher's nodes. It happens due to excessive talking. It can be surgically removed by ENT specialist. Giving rest to speech can also help. However it is benign condition and harmless. You can also try gargles with coconut oil to reduce local inflammation in the throat.
