Brief Answer:
Looks to be a boil.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

The lump appears to be a boil with spreading inflammation.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Hot fomentation with cotton cloth.
Do not fondle.
Take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Taking a prescription based antibiotic helps in early resolution.

Take care.
Please give follow up.

With regards.

Thank you for the advise. Before I got an answer, and since I thought it a stye, I used hot water compression and the pain and redness resolved. The lump is still there, but much smaller. Glad the treatment you suggested included the hot fomentation. Will use Ibuprofen for inflammation alleviation. Have a great day.
