Question: I am a 60 year old female. I got a sudden onset of a bad head and neckache. I have a mark/bruise on my right arm that I'm not sure where it came from (been there for about 3 days). Could it be related to that? I also have a terrible sore throat which also came on suddenly.

The bruise on the arm seems not related to the headaches and neck pain, you may have injured slightly your arm. Since there is sore throat too, a viral infection may justify headaches and neck pain. In such a case, it is necessary to measure your body temperature too.

Getting some rest, a lot of fluids, and paracetamol should improve your condition. Another thing to consider that may relate to headaches and neck pain is high blood pressure. Measure your blood pressure three to four times a day.

If there are abnormal values, or if there is deterioration of your condition and symptoms, contact your primary care Doctor.
