Brief Answer:
Need to rule out prostate infection.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thank you for your query.

Chills and nausea following prostate biopsy are concerning for possible infection. Even though you completed the course of doxycycline, very few percentages of people can develop infection following biopsy especially if the infection causing bacteria is resistant to the antibiotic you took.

Please be advised to follow up with the urgent care to get urine analysis and culture done. If the infection is present, you will need another antibiotic (Levofloxacin preferred for prostate infection).

Hope this answers your questions.
