Brief Answer:
4-6 weeks

Detailed Answer:
My Dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.

We prefer to wait for an approximate period of 4-6 weeks before going ahead with next procedure. We allow the body to recover from the injury of one major procedure before going ahead with another,of course less traumatic procedure.
This period is also controlled by the redness and infllamation produced by the surgery of retinal detachment.

Please do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.

Thank you doctor. I wanted to know is there any negative to waiting
5 or 6 months before I have the cataract surgery.
The retina took 3 surgeries to correct & I want to wait if I can.
Is there any negative to doing so?
Thank you XXXXXXX XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
cataract surgery

Detailed Answer:
My Dear,

Well, generally in our clinical practice usually do not allow for a delay this long as the patient does not see well till one has a cataract surgery. In your case things are different as there should be a time gap before you go ahead with another surgery. You can wait for awhile then go ahead with cataract surgery. That shouldn't be a problem.

Hope it is clear. Do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
